Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its probe into the land scam and money laundering case involving former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, conducting search operations at three locations in Ranchi. This action follows clues obtained from Soren during interrogation by the ED. The search operation targeted individuals closely associated with Soren, including Ramesh Gop Bhanu and Hilarious Toppo, in connection with alleged land irregularities.
The ED team raided the residence of Ramesh Gop in Kokar area, known to have possession of multiple lands, and also visited the house of Hilarious Toppo. The agency's focus was on investigating the Badagai land case, with further details awaited on a third location. The remand period of Hemant Soren has been extended by three days, with ED asserting a deep conspiracy behind the case, revealing information about chat records indicating potential money laundering activities involving government documents.
